Get the most out of our electric vehicle charging network and the bp pulse app and membership

Discover bp pulse’s extensive on-the-go charger network

Plan ahead and take the stress out of driving to an unfamiliar place by using the bp pulse live map to find charging points on your route. Our growing network is one of the UK’s largest, with more than 8,750 electric vehicle charging points, including around 3,200 fast, rapid and ultra-fast chargers. Whether you’re exploring the Scottish Highlands, escaping to the Cornish coast, or picking up groceries, find an EV charging point to plug in, power up and go. Our ecosystem includes destination charging points at locations including supermarkets, restaurants, shopping centres and public car parks. You can also find chargers at fuel forecourts or motorways services, and in our dedicated charging hubs.

Sign up to the bp pulse app for easier access to charging on-the-go

Wherever you are in the UK, the bp pulse app makes it easy to find a charging point on the go. Simply visit your preferred app store, search ‘bp pulse’ and download the app for free to view a live map of our charging network.

To find your nearest available electric vehicle charging point, select ‘Nearby’ in the app, type the name of a location and click the search icon. You’ll be shown charging points and their availability. Click on the name of the charging point you’d like to use, then press ‘Get directions’ to find your way there.

You can also use the bp pulse app to filter charging points by connector type and kW speed. That means you have all the info you need before you even drive to the charging point. Need to save a charging point for later? No problem. Just sign in and add to ‘Favourites’.

You can start and stop your charges from the bp pulse app, and save favourites, along with tracking your charging activity and invoices. Pay as you go customers can use the app to top up their balance and even upgrade to a full bp pulse membership. Everything you need is available in just a few clicks.

bp pulse charger point users have four ways to charge

  • Full membership

Make the most of the bp pulse app by becoming a bp pulse subscription member. A full bp pulse membership allows you to conveniently set up a direct debit to be billed monthly and will unlock access to our best rates – plus, receive your first month of charging free*. Members can also enjoy free charging at selected charging points registered to the bp pulse network as displayed on the Websites and/or Apps, for the duration of their full membership subscription. Choose a contactless card or fob when you sign up for even more convenient charging.

  • Free / Pay as You Go’ (PAYG) member

Alternatively, register as a free member and simply top up the app with the minimum credit to get started and Pay as You Go

  • Contactless

Pay via contactless, Apply Pay or Google Pay on 50kW and 150kW units. Simply select the guest option when charging

  • Guest charging

If you’d prefer an anonymous charge, simply drive up to a bp pulse charging point, open our live map of bp pulse public chargers and start charging.
