You will be able to join bp pulse for free, and not have to pay a monthly subscription fee (£7.85/month).

You will also be switched to bp pulse’ discounted EV charging rates once you have used your monthly charging credit of up to £250 per month (for three consecutive months - Offer 2) for the remainder of the month. These start from as low as £0.27p/kWh when starting a charge with your bp pulse charge card or the bp pulse app.

Offer 2: Charging Offer

Each month (for 3 consecutive months) you may receive up to a maximum of £250 in EV charging credit. (That’s up to £750 saved over 3 months!). Up to £250 of charging credit will be deducted from your invoice at the end of your monthly billing cycle, for each month that the offer applies to you.

The £250 is calculated based on the below Tariff per kWh:

• 7kW: £0.31

• 50kW: £0.49

• 150kW: £0.49

Each month (up to consecutive 3 months) you may receive up to a maximum of £250 in EV charging credit. That’s up to £750 saved over 3 months!

Once your monthly £250 EV charging credit allowance is reached, you will then be automatically switched to our discounted EV charging rates for the remainder of the month. (These start from as low as £0.27p/kWh when starting a charge with your bp pulse charge card or the bp pulse smartphone app).

Your £250 EV charging credit and discounted credit rate will be automatically applied and shown when your monthly invoice is generated.

Please note: The £250 EV charging credit will not be shown on the bp pulse app, but will be applied to your monthly invoice. Any charging credit that is NOT used in the month, will NOT be carried over as a credit to the next month.

Once your £250 EV charging credit allowance (for up to 3 consecutive months) is reached, you will then be automatically switched to our discounted EV charging rates for the remainder of the month. These start from as low as £0.27p kWh when starting a charge with your bp pulse charge card or the bp pulse app.

Your bp pulse x Uber account is not linked to the bp pulse app, so you will not be able to log into the app using your details. Please do not create a new account in the app as your account will not be linked to Uber and you will not benefit from the offers whilst using the app.  

When the offer ends all active subscriptions will be reverted to our standard bp pulse subscription, Uber drivers will be charged a fixed monthly subscription fee of £7.85. Uber drivers can cancel their subscription anytime.

Standard Pay As You Go rate:

• 7kW: £0.59

• 50kW: £0.77

You can use the bp pulse app to track your monthly kWh usage. Open the bp pulse app and click Profile then Recent transactions to view your usage. Please see the proposed charging & fee modelling below which will give you an indication of your charging and the associated charging tariffs. Please note, the faster charging speed you use, the higher the charging tariff you will be charged.

The £250 is calculated based on the below Tariff per kWh:

• Fast: £0.31

• Rapid: £0.49

• Ultra-Fast: £0.49

Scenario 1: If you charged on 100% AC fast chargers (7 – 22 kWh), you could charge 806 kWh for £250

Scenario 2: If you charged on 100% DC rapid or ultra-fast chargers (43 – 150+ kWh), you could charge 510 kWh for £250

Scenario 3: If you charged on 50% AC fast chargers (7 – 22 kWh) and 50% on DC rapid or ultra-fast chargers (43-150kWh), you could charge 658 kWh for £250

If you have signed up on or after the 4th February 2025:

You will receive a weekly kWh usage data through email, this will detail total kWh usage split by different charger types.

Uber drivers who are eligible will see up to £250 allowance (per month for 3 consecutive months) of EV charging credit applied to their invoice in the form of applied bill credits after the end of their billing cycle. Eligible Uber drivers will also be sent an email within two weeks of their invoice being generated, confirming the amount of credit that has been applied.

You'll receive a bill after a full billing cycle, which lasts one month. This includes both the charging you’ve done and credits you’re owed for that cycle. For example, if your subscription starts on 1st November 2023, your billing cycle will end on 31st November 2023. Your bill will then be generated on 1st December 2023 and will include all charging costs and discounts between 1st and 31st November 2023.

If your payment is declined at the first collection attempt, bp pulse will attempt to retry payment collection twice (this will be done weekly on a Friday). If payment cannot be collected, your bp pulse account will be converted to a pay as you go account and you will need to settle your outstanding payment via a BACS transfer. Once your payment has been made and the outstanding bill has been settled, please contact the bp pulse customer care team to reactivate your bp pulse subscription account.

Your bp pulse subscription is free of charge - worth £7.85/month.

You will also receive the following as part of your free subscription:

Once your direct debit is set up, you will start to enjoy your Uber x bp pulse benefits. You don't need to do anything else.

Only sign up when you're EV-ready as your £250 per month credit for 3 consecutive months starts at the point of subscribing, not from your first charge.

Your direct debit can take up to 3 working days to be set up and after that you can start charging using your bp pulse app. We will then send your bp pulse charge card to the delivery address provided. Please allow up to 10 working days for this to arrive. Be sure to use your bp pulse card or bp pulse app for each charge to access the discounted Uber pricing. You will receive a confirmation email from bp pulse once your account is active.

You can also check your status in the bp pulse app in Profile > Membership.

bp pulse will send Uber drivers their charge card with Royal Mail 1st class postage, as soon as their direct debit and bp pulse accounts are set up and active. Please ensure the correct postal address is inputted. If your charge card hasn’t been received after 14 days, please contact the bp pulse customer care team on 0800 464 3444.
